Lately I've been getting into some extraordinary metasedimentary xenoliths from the Sierras. Lots of rutilated quartz, and some very beautiful amber-colored large rutile crystals in the 50 micron range pop up in the quartz too. And there are detrital zircons - beautiful little things:
